They grow up so fast

Baby went to his 12 month wellness check-up last Thursday. He was weighed and measured. He rounded out to be bigger than about 97% of babies his age and more handsome than 100% of babies his age. The weather started to get bad later that day so we went to the store and stocked up on food and diet coke. It snowed and it iced. Today it is slushy. We've watched movies and eaten lots of food and had a little party. Saw Whip It, which turned out to be really good. Saw When In Rome (don't ask) and it was really bad.

Now we're watching the Grammys. I went to the Grammys with my brother when I was 21. He knew some of the nominees. 2 years ago, the Grammys were on at The Mont where I went to have a drink with a couple of my old bandmates, one of which was my exboyfriend. Exboyfriend brought his friend along and we watched Alicia Keys perform No One. The Friend turned out to be Future Husband who turned out to be Husband. I was so not interested in him at the time. He came to a couple of my shows and stalked me on myspace. I finally agreed to go on a date with him in mid March. I even tried to cancel that a couple of times. He picked me up and we hung out at Isis and then Edna's. We were supposed to go to dinner but I couldn't meet up that early. Some people say they just knew on the first date and I guess I was one of those people.

Baby weighed 27lbs and 14oz.

He tried to play with the baby in the mirror but he kept bumping him in the forhead.


How many people does it take to measure a baby?


He got a shot. He didn't cry very long though. He's a tough baby.


He's so pissed we tricked him into getting that shot.


Went to Atwood's and bought a new dog bed for Lucy and hot cinnamon suckers. I love them and apparently so does Baby.


(don't worry, Mom. we just let him taste it for a second, didn't leave him to chew on the sucker.)


Yesterday we walked around Target and then went to O'Connell's on campus corner to share some cheese fries and a happy hour beer. Baby was very loud. It's getting harder and harder to take him out to a restaurant.

The night Husband built a big fire and we drank wine and watched a movie. Baby was asleep.


Saturday night we had some friends over to our house to hang out after Jack went to bed. The girls played pool and the boys played dominos. Bandmate brought over one of our songs. You can hear it here.




Baby found a new toy called Lucy.

I have more stuff to write about but it's hard trying to write anything when I have people to judge on the Grammys.
