baby pone pone.

Baby Jack ran a 102 degree temperature all day Saturday. He was sweet and tired. We called his doctor but they were closed and advised us to take him to Urgent Care or the ER. He cried and wanted his Dada.
But then- he wanted Mama. It was so pitiful and sad! The doctor did a strep test and it was negative so it's probably a virus. Probably the one I had last week when I had a fever for 2 days and needed my mommy. He's a brand new baby today though! No fever, no boogers, playful and obnoxious.

My brother, Hulpahtah, played a show Saturday night. We put Jack to bed and my mom came over so we could run to his show and back. He played a really good set but it made me really sad. He's leaving soon and I don't want him to go.

Yesterday was Mother's Day and Jack gave me a painting and roses. Husband got me a pair of boots I've been lusting after for 3 days now. That doesn't sound long but I'm in love. Husband made pancakes in the morning and then we lazied around the house and watched episodes of Glee. It was so awesome outside but Jack was still a little feverish so I didn't want him to play too hard in the hot sun. We ventured out for the first family snowcone of the summer and we picked up some Victoria's to bring home for dinner. I can't remember the last time I had pasta. Ohmygod it was so good. I've been eating like an asshole the past week so today I'm back on the wagon that doesn't have much food. Lots of green tea, fruit, veggies, and water.

This picture doesn't really do them justice- they're matte black, short, and already scuffed up a bit. I can wear these with a dress or skinny jeans tucked in or bootcut jeans pulled over.

Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy and to my Mother-in-law. Moms make everything better.
